Ministry of Health further noted that N-95 masks are being used by public instead of health workers. These masks are being used inappropriately. Especially the porous masks fitted with the valved respirators are being used. Such type of porous masks are detrimental to the measures adopted for preventing the spread of coronavirus, as the valves in those increase the risk of spreading the coronavirus. Hence, the State Governments should circulate an advisory and stop the inappropriate usage of N-95 masks.
