
Ottawa (Canada) – On July 22, Khalistanis vandalised the Swaminarayan temple in Edmonton, Canada, defacing the temple walls with graffiti. The Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) in Canada posted about this incident on X, condemning the act and demanding action against the perpetrators from the Canadian Government. Hindu temples in Canada have been targeted by the Khalistanis in the past as well.
Last year, the Shriram Temple in Mississauga was vandalised and anti-India slogans were written on it. Following this incident, the Indian consulate in Toronto condemned the act and demanded strict punishment for the culprits.
In September last year, the Swaminarayan temple in Toronto was vandalised.
In January this year, a temple in Brampton was defaced and anti-India slogans were written on its walls.
