NIA arrests one more terrorist involved in conspiracy of terrorist activity in the country

Pune –The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has arrested one more terrorist named Mohammad Shahnawaz Alam. The NIA stated that he has participated in the terrorist activities of Islamic State, the terrorist organisation. With Alam’s arrest, the number of terrorists arrested in Pune for planning terrorist incidents has become eight. Alam was in direct contact with the 2 terrorists arrested from Kothrud. But he had absconded at that time. He was staying at the Hazaribaghin, Jharkhand. Alam played an active role in the reconnaissance and recce of various locations intended for use as hideouts, as well as in the conduct of firing classes and training in the fabrication of Improvised Explosive Devices (IED). He was actively involved in giving shooting training, said NIA.

The terrorists had to implement a specific system to bring about terrorist incidents in Pune. That is called the ‘Pune ISIS module’. The ISIS objective was to disturb the peace and communal harmony by carrying out terror activities in that area. Islamic State is consistently indulging in anti-India activity. They use various means and mediums to spread violence in the country. The Agency’s officers said that intensive investigations are being done to upset and stop the planned violence and terrorist activities of ISIS.
