Gram Panchayat of four villages to ban the entry of Muslim and Christian traders into their villages

The Gram Panchayat took this decision to control the incidents of Love Jihad and conversions in their villages

Ashoknagar (MP) – To prevent incidents of Love Jihad and conversions that is plaguing the State, Gram Panchayat of 4 villages in Ashoknagar District have decided to ban the entry of Muslim and Christian traders into their villages. The Sarpanch put forth this proposal during the Panchayat meeting in Dhaura village.  All the villagers unanimously agreed and finalised this decision. Because of this, the rule shall apply to 4 villages that fall within the jurisdiction of this Panchayat. Notices, and placards to this effect were put up in the squares of all these villages on the 7th of August.

The Placards clearly say that Muslim and Christian traders are not permitted to enter these villages. Traders coming from outside should carry their Aadhaar Cards with them. These will be examined and then only will permission to enter will be given.  This decision has been taken with the unanimous permission of all the resident villages.
