Rapid development in India’s Eastern border areas : PM Narendra Modi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi

Shillong (Meghalaya) – Last Government had the mentality of dividing the social fabric; but we intend for development. Presently, development projects are being undertaken in India’s border areas, stated Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the programme organised to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the ‘North Eastern Council’ here.

1. Narendra Modi said further, in a football match, a red card is issued to the player who does not exhibit sportsmanship and is forbidden to continue playing. On the same pattern in the past 8 years, we issued red-card to many things which appeared detrimental for making development in North-East India. The Government is trying sincerely to banish corruption, discrimination, lineage, violence, posing obstacles in development projects and vote politics from the system. You must be aware that the roots of such diseases are deeply rooted; hence, we all are trying sincerely to uproot them forever.

Incidents related to citizens’ murders were reduced by 89%.

Around 8,000 young men have surrendered. Credit for all these achievements goes to our PM, Narendra Modi.
