Fanatic Muslims attack BJP’s Muslim corporator after the administration seals an illegal madarasa

Incident in Rudrapur (Uttarakhand)

Udham Singh Nagar (Uttarakhand) – A strict anti-encroachment drive is underway in Rudrapur. On 17th June, authorities sealed an illegal madarasa in the Paharganj area. This triggered outrage among fanatic Muslims, who attacked the house of local BJP corporator Nuruddin, wielding sticks. The mob misbehaved with his family and issued death threats. Nuruddin was not present at home during the attack. Police have filed a case against 12 individuals in this matter.

1. Corporator Nuruddin stated, “Some people hold personal grudges against me. Ever since I joined BJP and won the election, I’ve been targeted. Using the sealing of the madarasa as an excuse, they attacked my home.”

2. The madarasa in question, constructed on nazul (government) land, was sealed by a team comprising Sub-Divisional Magistrate Pankaj Upadhyay, Assistant Municipal Commissioner Shipra Joshi, and Tehsildar Dinesh Kutaula.

3. The team also identified 50 other illegal or under-construction buildings in the vicinity.
