Pahalgam (Jammu and Kashmir) – The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has arrested two people on charges of harbouring terrorists involved in the April 22 terror attack in Pahalgam. Both are residents of Pahalgam. Their names are Parvez Ahmed Jothar and Bashir Ahmed Jothar. The terrorists who carried out the attack have not been arrested yet. Their sketches have been released and a hefty reward has been announced for anyone providing information about them.
Parvez and Bashir had sheltered the terrorists in a makeshift hut in Hill Park before the attack, as well as provided them with food and facilities. The terrorists had been staying there and conducting reconnaissance (gathering information) of the tourist spot.
Attackers are Pakistani citizens
The investigation agency has identified three terrorists involved in the attack. All three are affiliated with Lashkar-e-Taiba. All three are Pakistani nationals.
