A demand made by Pakistan’s Field Marshal Asim Munir during his visit to the US
Washington (USA) – During his visit to the United States, Pakistan’s Field Marshal Asim Munir was invited to a dinner by President Donald Trump. Prior to this meeting, Munir made a request to award Trump the Nobel Peace Prize. He stated that Trump played a crucial role in facilitating the ceasefire between India and Pakistan, which deserves recognition.
President Trump thanked Munir for the gesture and said, “I like Pakistan. It was an honour to meet Munir. He played an important role in preventing war with India.”
“Trump deserves the Nobel Peace Prize for India-Pak ceasefire,” says Asim Munir in the US! 🇵🇰 🇺🇸🤦♂️
Blatant sycophancy from Pakistan’s top general — clearly aimed at pleasing Trump. But do ordinary Pakistanis really buy this? 🤔#IndiaPakistan #Geopolitics pic.twitter.com/8rXiMYXHRy

Before the meeting between Trump and Munir, Prime Minister Modi had a telephonic conversation with President Trump. During the call, PM Modi firmly rejected any kind of mediation in India-Pakistan relations and clearly stated that ‘Operation Sindoor’ was not halted because of the United States.
“I stopped the India-Pakistan war” – Trump’s renewed claim
President Donald Trump once again asserted that he was the one who stopped the war between India and Pakistan. Interestingly, this claim came just 12 hours after his phone conversation with Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Editorial PerspectiveShameless flattery attempt by Pakistan ! Even a child could say that Munir made this statement just to please Trump. Do the citizens of Pakistan agree with this ? |
