In Varanasi, Munfedd posed as a fake Hindu Police officer and trapped Hindu women in love affairs

Varanasi (Uttar Pradesh) – A fresh case of ‘Love Jihad’ has come to light in Varanasi. A Muslim man named Munfedd falsely posed as a Hindu Police officer and used social media to establish romantic relationships with Hindu women. It has come to light that he lured 14 Hindu women with promises of employment and extorted crores of rupees from them. Munfedd has been arrested by the Police.

1. Munfedd is a resident of Devseras village under the jurisdiction of Govardhan Police Station in Mathura district.

2. He created fake identities in the names of Police Sub-Inspector Deepak Ranawat from Varanasi and Sub-Inspector Abhijeet Singh from Parasamalik Police Station in Maharajganj district.

3. Using a fake Facebook profile featuring doctored photos of himself in Police uniform, he duped women from Uttar Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Haryana, and Delhi.

4. Sub-Inspector Deepak Ranawat had filed a complaint stating that someone was misusing his name to extort large sums of money from women. Following this complaint, the Police arrested Munfedd from the Cantt railway station.

5. With the money collected through this fraud, Munfedd had even begun constructing a new house in his village. Police investigations into the case are ongoing.

Editorial Perspective

At the very least, BJP-ruled states are expected to be free from Love Jihad. Strict measures must be taken in this regard.
