New Delhi – The reporter Akanksha Swarup of CNN News 18 claimed that human sacrifice was being performed at Kamakhya temple and linked that alleged practice to the murder case of Raja Raghuvanshi. The news channel realised that the comment had no evidence and apologised saying it did not intend to hurt anyone’s religious sentiments.

Akanksha Swarup claimed while talking to Raja Raghuvanshi’s sister Shrasti Raghuvanshi. Raja Raghuvanshi and his wife Sonam had visited the Kamakhya temple in Assam before going to Meghalaya. Akanksha Swarup said that it could be a case of human sacrifice. The investigation by the police revealed that Raja Raghavanshi’s wife Sonam planned the murder with the help of three associates from Madhya Pradesh.
