Expedite Verification of the Illegal Migrants’ List from Bangladesh in India for Deportation : India asks Bangladesh

New Delhi – A large number of Bangladeshi citizens are staying in India who are required to be deported; therefore, Bangladesh authorities have been asked to expedite verification of their nationality, informed the Foreign Ministry of India.

The spokesperson of the Foreign Ministry, Randhir Jaiswal stated that action will be taken as per law against the foreigners who are staying in India illegally, let them be from Bangladesh or any other country. The Ministry has a list of more than 2,360 people who need to be deported. (There are over 5 lakh Bangladeshi infiltrators staying in India, but only more than 2,000 people have been nabbed so far, which is a matter of shame. – Editor) Many of them have completed the punishment by way of imprisonment while in many cases, the verification of nationality has not been completed and the matter has been pending from the year 2020. Five years have elapsed since then; therefore, we appeal to Bangladesh to complete the verification process at the earliest. India wants Bangladesh to confirm the names of people mentioned in the list belonging to Bangladesh. It will help India to deport the illegal migrants.

What will India do if Bangladesh disowns its citizens ? Instead, India should leave these people on the border of Bangladesh.
