Pakistan Promotes Asim Munir to ‘Field Marshal’ Despite Military Setbacks – A Farcical Display of Leadership

Islamabad (Pakistan) – Pakistan Army Chief Asim Munir has been promoted to the rank of Field Marshal, marking only the second time in the nation’s history that this title has been conferred—the first being Ayub Khan. Notably, the rank of Field Marshal is one from which no officer ever retires.
A ceremony was held at the Army Headquarters in Rawalpindi to honour Munir. Speaking at the event, he claimed, “This honour is for the entire Pakistani society and the brave men and women of the Pakistan Armed Forces—especially the martyrs who stood like a wall against India’s baseless, cowardly, and illegal aggression.”
Field Marshal After Failure?
Pakistan’s circus of promotions continues — even after defeat!"Tribute to the martyrs who stood like a steel wall against India’s unwarranted aggression" — says Asim Munir after becoming Field Marshal 🎖️
His hollow boast holds no weight.

Editorial PerspectiveThe irony couldn’t be clearer : Even after suffering defeats in clashes with India, Munir is rewarded with the country’s highest military title. This only exposes how farcical and hollow Pakistan’s military-political system has become. No one will take seriously the accusations such a system levels against India. |
