Indo-Pak peace talks possible in Saudi Arabia with the US as mediator : Pak PM

  • Another ridiculous claim by Pakistani Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif

  • Sharif also suggests the UAE as a venue for peace talks

Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif

Islamabad (Pakistan) – Peace talks between India and Pakistan may take place in the United Arab Emirates or Saudi Arabia. The US will play the role of a mediator in this, stated Pakistani Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif. He also repeated the false claim that ‘Pakistan did not demand a ceasefire. If Pakistan had done this, the whole world would have known.’

Shahbaz Sharif said,

1. In discussions between the Director General of Military Operations (DGMO) of both countries, it was agreed that the armies of both countries would return to the positions they were in before the conflict broke out on May 7th .

2. India started a war, in response to which Pakistan shot down 6 Indian aircraft, destroyed several drones and also targeted the ‘S-400’ air defense system. We could have shot down more aircraft; but we remained patient. (Pakistan is well versed in getting beaten up badly and then lying shamelessly – Editor).

3. Pakistan made full use of Chinese technology in its conflict with India. Pakistan has become a ‘marketing nation’ for China worldwide. (Even after being cheated by China many times, Pakistan is still groveling in front of it. What other option does Pakistan, which is mired in poverty, have anyway ? – Editor).

Israeli personnel were present in India during the war : Pakistan claims

When Sharif was asked whether Israeli personnel were present in India during the conflict, Sharif said that there were reports that Israelis were present in India. Israel provided great assistance to India during the war.

Editorial Perspective

Be it Saudi Arabia or the UAE, no one takes Pakistan seriously. If Pakistan suggests the name of any country that has good relations with India as the venue for peace talks, it is just a daydream. India should not even waste time in refuting such immature and ridiculous positions.
