First-time ever Kumbha Mela of thousands of Devotees in Goa : Abhay Vartak, Spokesperson, Sanatan Sanstha

Ponda (Goa)  – The way millions of devotees, Saints and Seers come together for ‘Kumbha Mela’, a divine spiritual ‘Kumbha Mela’ viz. ‘Sanatan Rashtra Shankhnad Mahotsav’ is being held  for the first time ever, from 17th to 19th May 2025, in the Holy land of Goa. More than 25,000 people including people from 23 countries, Saints-Mahants, devout Hindus and seekers will attend this event, informed Sanatan Sanstha’s Spokesperson, Mr Abhay Vartak.

The event is being organised on the grounds of Farmagudi Engineering College and a press conference was held in this context on 14.05.2025 at the venue. Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS)’s Goa State convener, Mr Satyavijay Naik; devout Hindu activist Mr Suchendra Agni; a pro-Hindu businessman, Mr Jayant Miringkar and ‘Mandir Mahasangh’s Goa State secretary Mr Jayesh Thali were present on the occasion.

Mr Satyavijay Naik made the introduction of the subject. While giving information about the ‘Mahotsav’, Mr Vartak stated, “This Mahotsav is a collective step towards the establishment of ‘Ram Rajya’. Devout Hindus and seekers will become active for the protection of ‘Dev (God), Desh (country) and Dharma’ by making a new resolve in this ‘Mahotsav’. All preparations of the Mahotsav are almost complete. Soon, people will get to see a beautiful convergence of ‘Bhakti (devotion) and ‘Shakti (Strength)’ in Goa.”

A devout businessman Mr Jayant Miringkar stated, “Invitations of this ‘Mahotsav’ are displayed all over Goa. Those, who are coming for the Mahotsav, will be offered free transport service from railway station, airport and bus-stand and Cells will be set up to help the attendees. There will be 16 doctors available at the venue of the programme to offer medical service.”

Mr Jayesh Thali said, “Shatachandi Yaga will be performed from 20th to 22nd May 2025 after the ‘Mahotsav’ in the background of a war-like situation created in India after ‘Operation Sindoor’. All patriotic citizens can attend this ‘Yag’ and contribute to the national cause.”

Highlights of ‘Sanatan Rashtra Shankhnad Mahotsav’

1. There will be a huge centre for sale of religious books, ‘Gou-kaksha’, Shri Annapoorna Kaksha, Guru Mandir, an exhibition set up on 6,000 sq. ft. area of historical weapons used during the period of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, a Cell exhibiting ‘Holy-padukas’ of 15 Saints, and a replica of 1,000 year-old Sorati Somnath Jyotirlinga.

2. All devotees, devout Hindu activists attending the Mahotsav have been registered.  There will be 6,000-7,000 devotees from Goa attending the ‘Mahotsav’ every day.

3. A Government approved identity card will be issued to every attendee in this Mahotsav for security reasons. Everyone has to register his/her name before entering at the venue. Taking bags, water bottles, etc will not be allowed inside the venue.

4. There will be chanting of Shriram Jap for one crore time during the Mahotsav.

How will the arrangements be ?     

1. ‘Mahotsav’ will be held in an area of 1.26 lakh sq. mtrs. where arrangements for seating of 25,000 people have been made in air-conditioned pandals. There will be 350 washrooms at the venue for the attendees.

2. As security measures at the venue, there will be towers for the Police to keep watch, CCTVs, security guards, ambulances, bike ambulances, fire brigade vehicles, Cells for the proper management of 25 departments, a separate cell for media persons and many more facilities.

3. Water will be provided at 70 places at the venue.

4. There will be e-rickshaws for senior citizens to move around at the venue. There will be a separate entrance for the VVIPs and VIPs.

5. There will be 200 traffic Police and 70 volunteers deployed at the venue for management of the crowds. The security level at the venue will be high grade.

6. There will be three marquees at the venue, one of 11,000 capacity and two of 7,000 seating capacities each. All three marquees will be air-conditioned.
