130 Naxalites killed this year so far
Raipur (Chhattisgarh) – 31 Naxalites were killed in a recent encounter with communist- inspired terrorists on Karregutta hill in Chhattisgarh. Several weapons have been seized in the operation launched by the Police and security forces. The hill has been surrounded by 10,000 soldiers. In total, 31 Naxalites were killed in 35 separate
encounters.

1. On May 7th , security forces killed 27 Naxalites, while a few days ago, 4 Naxalites were killed.
2. In this operation, the Police have seized more than 400 ‘IED bombs’ and 2 tons of explosives from Kararegutta hill.
3. Three soldiers were martyred in this encounter. This hill, located on the border of Chhattisgarh, Telangana and Maharashtra, is now under the control of the security forces. Naxalites used this hill as a hideout.
4. Home Minister Amit Shah has given the security forces time till March 31st , 2026 to eliminate the Naxalites.
5. According to a report, 130 Naxalites have been killed in Chhattisgarh so far in the year 2025.
(IED stands for Improvised Explosive Device, a homemade bomb made for destructive purposes. Such devices are used by criminals, terrorists, and insurgents to cause harm, destruction, and fear. They can range from simple pipe bombs to highly complex devices.)
