Mumbai – We are on full alert around the Mumbai coast. The Northern and Arabian navies have been deployed here. Fishing boats and their crews are also being monitored. They have been asked to remain alert and report any unusual movements in the sea, a naval official told a newspaper.
The official said that in the wake of the 2008 terror attacks, it is important to keep a close watch on all the boats and their crew and conduct daily checks on them. The officials have been asked to register and check the fishing boats, their numbers, their owners and the crew on board on a daily basis. Fishermen have also been advised to remain vigilant.
