25% Muslims in the US have left Islam

30% Muslims in Singapore have also renounced Islam

Washington – According to a report by The Pew Research Center, there has been a significant decline in the Muslim population in the United States. More than 25% of Muslims in the US have left Islam—either by converting to Christianity or by becoming atheists. The Pew Research Center is a Washington-based organization that provides insights on social issues, public opinion, and demographic trends affecting the United States and the world.

● According to this report, the number of people leaving Islam is significantly higher in some Muslim-majority countries. In Turkey, about 4% of those born as Muslims no longer identify as Muslims. In India, this number is only 1%.

● In India, religious conversion has always been a sensitive and controversial issue; however, in developed countries like Europe and the United States, large numbers of people are leaving their religion—either becoming atheists or converting to another faith.

● In Singapore as well, nearly 30% of Muslims have left Islam, which is considered a substantial figure.
