We will give a strong response : Pakistan PM

Pakistan PM Shehbaz Sharif’s threatening statement with borrowed courage

Islamabad (Pakistan) – “Cowardly attacks have been carried out at five locations on Pakistani soil. Pakistan has every right to give a robust response to this act of war imposed by India, and a strong response is indeed being given. The Pakistani Army and Nation know very well how to face the enemy. We will never let their malicious intentions succeed. The entire Nation stands united behind its armed forces, and our morale and resolve remain unshaken,” this was the reaction of Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, expressed via a post on X after India’s action. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif had called a meeting of the National Security Committee on the morning of 7May.

Both countries must exercise maximum military restraint – United Nations appeals

In a statement on the night of 6thMay, UN Spokesperson Stéphane Dujarric said that Secretary-General António Guterres is extremely concerned about the Indian military operations along the LOC and the international border. He stated, “Both countries must exercise maximum military restraint. A military conflict between India and Pakistan is unaffordable for anyone.” (The United Nations is nothing but a scarecrow. So, no other kind of statement can be expected from it. It must be remembered that today’s situation has arisen precisely because the Kashmir issue has been lying unresolved at the UN for the past 78 years with no action taken. – Editor)
