On the auspicious occasion of Sachchidananda Parabrahma (Dr) Athavale’s birthday on May 6th, an extraordinary spiritual experience unfolded. That evening, while I was in Kanchipuram, Tamil Nadu, the sacred abode of Sri Kamakshi Devi; a powerful storm swept through the area. The intensity of the wind was so unusual that it seemed to signal the outbreak of a war, possibly even the beginning of a World War 3 through an Indo-Pak conflict. In that moment, I experienced a spiritual realization: the storm’s intensity in Kanchipuram signified the divine involvement of Sri Kamakshi Devi, whose sacred seat is in this very town. As the presiding Goddess of the universe, her participation seemed evident. I clearly felt, “Is the Devi preparing to take part in this war?”

That same evening, seekers Mr Vineet Desai and Mr Snehal Raut were en-route from Chennai to Kanchipuram. During their journey, they witnessed a sudden flash of lightning that took the form of a trident (Trishul)—a powerful divine symbol. This led me to wonder, “Could the next military operation be named Operation Trident ?”

On the morning of May 7th, when I learned that the Indian Armed Forces had conducted an air strike in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir, the inner experiences and divine signs from the previous evening became clear. The operation was named ‘Operation Sindoor’. The word Sindoor is spiritually significant and related to kumkum (vermilion), and notably, the origin of sattvik kumkum is also Kanchipuram. This reinforced the sacred connection between Sri Kamakshi Devi’s presence and the name of the military campaign.
