Hindu Makkal Katchi demands President’s Rule in Kashmir and Bengal

Protest in Coimbatore (Tamil Nadu)

Coimbatore (Tamil Nadu) – Hindu Makkal Katchi (Hindu People’s Party) held protests at various places in Tamil Nadu against the attacks on Hindus in Bengal in the backdrop of Waqf Act and the recent terrorist attack in Kashmir. Speaking after participating in the protest in Coimbatore, Hindu Makkal Katchi President Arjun Sampath condemned the attacks on Hindus in Bengal in the backdrop of Waqf Act. He also condemned the terrorist attacks in Jammu and Kashmir. He demanded the imposition of President’s rule in Bengal and Kashmir. Arjun Sampath demanded that war be declared against Pakistan and that Pakistan-occupied Kashmir be included in India. The Tamil Nadu Police arrested Hindu Makkal Katchi President Arjun Sampath and other office bearers who were protesting.

Editorial Perspective

The pro-Hindu organisations should not have to protest for such demands. The Government is expected to take such action on its own.
