India’s Foreign Ministry slams BBC
New Delhi – The Union Government has strongly reprimanded the British news agency ‘BBC’. Even after the terrorist attack in Pahalgam, the BBC has continued to refer Islamic terrorists as ‘Mujahid’ (soldiers of Jihad). The BBC has not commented on the issue yet.
The Ministry of External Affairs has written a letter to BBC India chief Jackie Martin regarding its coverage of the Pahalgam attack, saying that it will monitor the BBC’s reporting on the matter in future.
Even on its Hindi website, the BBC writes ‘Mujahid’ instead of ‘terrorist’. Also, BBC’s reporting consistently refers to Kashmir as ‘Indian-administered Kashmir’. Jammu and Kashmir is an integral part of India.
Anti-Hindu and pro-Jihad reporting by other foreign media outlets
Apart from BBC, many other foreign media outlets are also continuously spreading the same propaganda. Qatar’s State-run ‘Al Jazeera’, Pakistan’s ‘The Dawn’, America’s ‘New York Times’ have described the Jihadi terrorists as ‘gunmen’ instead of ‘terrorists’. They did not report several details about the Pahalgam attack. They did not mention that the terrorists killed Hindus after confirming their religion.
Editorial PerspectiveInstead of wasting time in verbal exchanges, India should ban the anti-Hindu and anti-India BBC in India. |
