Will invoke National Security Act if needed – Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma

Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has announced that the National Security Act (NSA) will be enforced, if necessary, against those posting anti-national content on social media. Investigations into social media accounts are ongoing. If anyone is found guilty of anti-national activities, strict action will be taken. He emphasised that there is absolutely no similarity between India and Pakistan, stating that the two countries are enemies.

Editorial Perspective

If this many people were arrested, imagine how many pro-Pakistan sympathisers might be hidden across India. Please note that the country faces not only a threat from Jihadi terrorists but also from those who support them and spread ideological terrorism.
