Mumbai – A case has been registered against Anas Qureshi at Kalachowki Police station for a post against Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj and in support of Aurangzeb. He has been taken into custody and investigation is underway. The Hindus in the vicinity of Lalbagh Parel raised an objection at the post and demanded stern action against the religious fanatic.
Accused Anas Qureshi had posted a picture of Aurangzeb on his WhatsApp and written, (“Habibi… jo hame hara nahi paye maidanejung me vo hamse badla le rahe hei cinema hall me), meaning, those who could not defeat us in the battlefield, are trying to take revenge on us in the cinema hall. This post came in the wake of recent release of Chhava movie.
The accused is a salesman in a mobile and electronics shop at Mehta Mansion in Lalbaug. A complaint was registered against him.
The Police told the accused to ask for an apology on the mobile phone as demanded by the Hindus. He did so, however, the Devout Hindus insisted that he appeared in person to apologise. After this the Police took Qureshi into custody. (Question remains, if Hindus did not insist would the Police still arrest the accused ? – Editor.)
The protest was led by activists of Hindu organisations, Sarvshri Ravindra Dabholkar, Girish Bhosle, Sripad Sawant, Akshay Naik, Sagar Bhakre, Rohit Thakur, Sagar Mhatre, Rahul Lodh, Pranav Singh, Rohit kamble, Rohit Singh, Indrajit Tiwari and advocate Bhoomkar.
