Prayagraj, 15 th January – Crores of devotees had come to the Kumbha region for the Amrut Snan held on 14 th January. After the Amrut Snan, many devotees and saints are leaving again. Due to this, there is a huge pressure on the traffic Police. Therefore, 1,500 students from various colleges in Prayagraj are working in the Kumbha region to control traffic.
Barricades have been put up at the checkpoints in the Kumbha region to control traffic. NCC students are regulating traffic at all the checkpoints there. NCC students are doing work like controlling traffic, guiding the coming and going devotees, helping elderly devotees to get vehicles, connecting lost devotees to the relevant system, etc. All these students will be working in the Kumbha region in the traffic control service till 26 th February.
Security arrangements in the Kumbha region
Currently, 37,000 Police and 14,000 home guards are working in the Kumbha region. 2,750 CCTVs have been installed in the Kumbha region. Three Water Police stations have been set up in the Kumbh region, as well as 18 Water Police control centers. If devotees face any problems while bathing in the Ganga or if any disaster occurs, the Water Police will provide whatever help is needed to save the devotees. 50 watchtowers have been set up to monitor the crowd. Along with this, 50 fire stations have been set up.
