Inconvenience for Pilgrims Due to Lack of Electricity and Water at Kumbha Mela

Prayagraj, January 12 – The first ceremonial bathing of the Maha Kumbha is set to take place on January 13. As a result, a large number of pilgrims arrived in the Maha Kumbha area on January 11 and 12. However, some camps for the pilgrims still lack essential facilities like electricity and water, causing inconvenience.

A representative of the daily Sanatan Prabhat visited some of the camps for the pilgrims in Sector 19 of the Kumbha area. It was observed that the necessary facilities had not been provided. Some pilgrims have yet to receive designated land for their camps. While some have received land, tents have not been set up on it. In some places where tents are present, there are no arrangements for electricity or water.

As a result, pilgrims are forced to fetch water from nearby borewells. With the spiritual practices of the pilgrims beginning on January 13, arrangements for accommodation, electricity, water, and other necessities need immediate attention. Some pilgrims have expressed dissatisfaction with the administration’s inefficiency in providing these basic facilities.
