Research by Maharshi Adhyatma Vishwavidyalay
These days instead of home made healthy food, the trend of eating out at restaurants has become more common.Similarly the practice of having non-vegetarian food has increased. Maharshi Adhyatma Vishwavidyalay conducted research to study the spiritual effect of food on an individual, using the UAS (Universal Aura Scanner). The interpretation of observations in the study is given ahead.
1. Interpretation of observations in the study : In the first study, the individual was served a vegetarian meal (Mixed vegetable) and non-vegetarian (Fish fry and chicken fry) meal from a restaurant.
In the second study, he was served a vegetable prepared in a sattvik place (ashram kitchen). UAS readings of the individual were taken before and after each meal. UAS readings of the food were also taken before they were consumed.
The Universal Aura Scanner (UAS) was developed in 2005 by Dr. Mannem Murthy, a former nuclear scientist from Telengana. By using this instrument the energy and the aura of an object, a premises, an animal or an individual can be measured.
1 A. In the vegetarian and non-vegetarian food from the restaurant, lot of negative energy was found however, the vegetable prepared in the sattvik place contained a lot of positive energy : The vegetarian and non-vegetarian food from the restaurant did not contain any positive energy and had a lot of negative energy. This can be seen from the table given ahead.
Food | Negative Energy Aura (Metres) | Positive Energy Aura (Metres)
Infrared Energy | Ultraviolet Energy
Vegetarian and Non-vegetarian food from the restaurant
Mixed Vegetable | 33.00 | 20.80 | 0 |
Fish fry | 45.60 | 26.30 | 0 |
Chicken fry | 53.10 | 32.80 | 0 |
Vegetable prepared at a sattvik place
Vegetable | 0 | 0 | 17.30 |
1 B. Negative effect on the individual after consuming vegetarian and non-vegetarian food from a restaurant and positive effect on eating the vegetable prepared at a sattvik place : Both, negative and positive energies were found in the individual before the meal from the restaurant however after having the food, the negative energy increased a lot and his positive energy reduced or was nullified. On the contrary, after having the vegetable prepared at a sattvik place, his negative energy reduced and positive energy increased a lot. This is understood from the table given ahead.
Food | Stage of reading | Negative Energy Aura (Metres) | Positive Energy Aura (Metres)
Infrared Energy | Ultraviolet Energy
Having the Vegetarian and Non-vegetarian food from the restaurant
Mixed Vegetable | Before the meal | 25.30 | 19.20 | 8.30 |
After the meal | 42.00 | 31.00 | 5.40
Fish fry | Before the meal | 23.80 | 16.60 | 3.80 |
After the meal | 52.60 | 37.50 | 0
Chicken fry | Before the meal | 23.80 | 16.60 | 3.90 |
After the meal | 67.30 | 46.60 | 0
Vegetable prepared at a sattvik place
Vegetable | Before the meal | 25.06 | 20.67 | 3.22 |
After the meal | 13.89 | 11.05 | 8.60 |
2. Spiritual analysis of the observations in the study
2 A. Negative spiritual effect on the individual due to consuming the non-vegetarian food which emitted tama predominant vibrations : Non-vegetarian food is tama predominant. Therefore, after consuming it, the tama predominant component in an individual, increases. This has a negative effect on the body, mind and intellect of an individual. In the individual in the study, the negative energy increased a lot after consuming non-vegetarian food and his positive energy was nullified, so there was a negative spiritual effect. This shows how regular consumption of non-vegetarian food can have a negative spiritual effect on an individual .
2 B. Benefit of having food prepared at home rather than restaurant food : The vegetarian food from a restaurant was found to have a lot of negative energy with no positive energy. Therefore, after consuming the food there was negative spiritual effect on the individual in the study. Sattvikta of food depends on various factors, like for example the place of preparation, its purpose, the person preparing it, etc. If these factors are sattvik then the food becomes sattvik and the one who consumes that food benefits. By eating the vegetable prepared at a sattvik place, the individual was spiritually benefited as his negative energy reduced and his positive energy increased. Consuming sattvik food, helps to generate sattvik thoughts and consequently sattvik actions and eventually sattvik attitude develops. Therefore, having home made food and even better if prepared while chanting the Name of God, increases the sattvikta of food.
